Emirates Islamic gives access to Shariah-compliant global equities and ETFs
For investors seeking access to international markets while following Islamic investment principles, identifying Shariah-compliant stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) can involve significant research.
Emirates Islamic aims to simplify the process through its Digital Wealth service on the EI + App. Global equities and ETFs available through the platform are pre-screened for Shariah compliance, allowing customers to invest without having to independently research the compliance status of each investment.
Customers can buy and sell eligible global equities and ETFs digitally through the app, combining access to international markets with Shariah-compliant investment options.
Investing Through the EI + App
Emirates Islamic customers can manage their investments through the same EI + App used for their everyday banking needs.
Customers with an Emirates Islamic current or savings account can open a Digital Wealth account through the app and access investment opportunities with a few taps.
The platform offers more than global equities and ETFs. Investors can also explore:
Local equities
Gold and silver
Sukuk and Fractional Sukuk
Investment funds
Global equities and ETFs
These options can provide investors with different ways to build and diversify their portfolios.
Diversification Across Different Asset Classes
Diversification can play an important role in managing an investment portfolio. Different asset classes may react differently to changes in economic and market conditions.
Equities can provide exposure to company growth, while Sukuk, investment funds and precious metals can serve different roles within a broader portfolio.
Although diversification does not eliminate investment risk, spreading investments across different asset classes, sectors and markets can reduce reliance on any single investment area.
Investors should consider their financial goals, risk appetite and investment horizon before making investment decisions.
Global Trading Fees Starting From $2
Emirates Islamic is also offering a limited-time promotion for eligible global equities and ETFs.
Until December 10, 2026, customers can trade eligible global investments in international markets with a minimum trading fee starting from $2.
The offer is available to both new and existing Emirates Islamic customers. If the calculated trading fee is higher than $2, the applicable higher fee will be charged.
Foreign exchange charges may also apply when investments are traded in currencies other than US dollars. Other standard charges, including applicable taxes, custody fees and exchange or market fees, may also continue to apply.
A Simpler Way to Access Global Markets
By combining digital investing with pre-screened Shariah-compliant global equities and ETFs, Emirates Islamic is making it easier for customers to explore international markets through the EI + App.
The pre-screening process reduces the amount of research customers need to conduct when identifying Shariah-compliant investments, while the range of available asset classes gives investors more options for building a diversified portfolio.
As with any investment, customers should assess their financial objectives, risk tolerance and investment timeframe before investing.
