Buyers in Dubai pay up to Dh300 extra to get Burgundy iPhone 18 immediately

Some buyers in Dubai’s Deira phone markets are paying up to Dh300 extra to get the Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro Max immediately instead of waiting for distributor or online deliveries.

Burgundy iPhone Sees Strong Demand

The Burgundy variant has emerged as the most sought-after colour among some buyers, with traders reporting that customers are willing to pay a premium for immediate availability.

Apple’s UAE online store lists the 512GB Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro Max at Dh6,349. However, on October 6, the website showed a Dubai delivery window between October 28 and November 4.

Mohammed Mustafa, a phone trader in Deira Market, said Burgundy was currently the only colour attracting this kind of extra demand.

He noted that the premium could decrease as more stock becomes available in the market. According to Mustafa, newly launched flagship colours often attract strong interest initially, similar to the demand seen for the orange iPhone 17 Pro last year.

Longer Apple Delivery Times Push Buyers to Local Shops

Sellers at Gargash Market said Apple’s delivery dates are encouraging some customers to check local phone shops for immediate purchases.

Seller Obaidullah Jasir said the 512GB Burgundy model currently has a delivery window of October 28 to November 4 on the Apple Store.

The model is also listed on several online shopping platforms, although buyers may only be able to place orders during limited booking periods when stock becomes available.

Buyers Advised to Compare Prices Before Paying

Customers looking to buy the Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro Max can compare the price offered by local sellers with the cost of ordering directly online and waiting for delivery.

Prices at local shops may vary depending on the colour and storage capacity available. Buyers are advised to confirm the phone’s storage size, colour and final price with the seller before making payment.

According to sellers, other colours, including black, silver and glacier, are generally being sold closer to their original Apple UAE prices.

The difference in pricing highlights the stronger demand currently seen for the Burgundy version.

New iPhone Duo Expected to Bring More Shoppers

Apple has also announced a new iPhone Duo, with UAE pre-orders scheduled to open at 4pm on October 16. The phone is expected to become available from October 23.

Traders in Deira expect the new launch to attract more customers to the area’s popular mobile phone markets this month, potentially increasing demand for newly released iPhone models and colours.
