Dubai Provides Shuttle Flights To Doha For FIFA 2022 World Cup

The Dubai Airport is you prepared if you're traveling to attend a FIFA World Cup match. During the nearly two months-long tournament in Doha, 120 shuttle planes will fly in and out of Dubai World Central (DWC) airport every day.

From November 20 to December 19, thousands of football fans will be transported to Doha and back to Dubai via Fly Dubai and Qatar Airways, according to Dubai Airport. Additional charter flights related to the tournament will be run by Fly Dubai and Qatar Airways in addition to the start of the "match day" shuttle flights. According to Dubai Airport, the company in charge of running both DWC and Dubai International Airport (DXB), these operations are anticipated to triple the amount of travelers passing through DWC over the next few weeks.

"Passenger numbers at the airport are forecast to surpass 494,000 in the year's final three months," revealed Dubai Airport.

For the current winter season, Dubai World Central, which is located in Dubai South, will also act as a base for the numerous international carriers' already-running charter operations. In order to boost demand for travel to Doha, Dubai Airport has also made announcements about DWC transportation facilities, passenger policies, and a comprehensive list of airport capabilities.

“It is mandatory for travelers to hold a valid match ticket and the Hayya Card to board match day shuttle flights. The baggage allowance for passengers using the shuttle service is limited to hand luggage as per their class of travel, and no checked luggage will be accepted except wheelchairs and strollers,” according to Dubai Airport.

Up to 30 round-trip flights per day are scheduled by the low-cost airline located in Dubai for the World Cup. Fly Dubai and Qatar Airways will also be running chartered flights to meet the rising demand. Private jet booking inquiries to Doha increased significantly, according to chartered flight providers such DC Aviation Al Futtaim.

For a pleasant passenger experience, the Dubai Airport is also considering expanding its front line workforce. In order to handle the anticipated increase in demand, more than 60 check-in desks, 21 boarding gates, 60 passport control counters (departures and arrivals), 10 smart gates, and four luggage belts on arrivals will be open over the entire time period, according to Dubai Airport.
