UAE Flight Updates: Dubai Routes Resume as Saudi Arabia Cancellations Continue

Air travel from the UAE continues to face schedule changes, with cancellations and delays affecting several routes as regional security concerns and operational issues disrupt services.

Passengers departing from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah have been advised to confirm their flight details before heading to the airport.

There is also positive news for travellers, as selected European connections to Dubai are scheduled to return and Philippine Airlines has resumed its Dubai services.

Airlines continue to adjust operations according to changing conditions, making regular flight-status checks essential.

European Flights to Dubai Set to Resume

Several European airlines are preparing to restore connections with Dubai over the coming weeks.

Lufthansa is scheduled to resume services to Munich and Frankfurt from October 25, while SWISS plans to restart flights to Zurich on October 27.

Eurowings is expected to bring back selected Dubai routes from November 1, with Austrian Airlines planning to resume Vienna services in December.

Philippine Airlines has also restarted its Dubai flights, providing additional travel options between the UAE and the Philippines.

Saudi Arabia Routes Face Continuing Disruptions

Flights serving Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam remain affected by cancellations and revised schedules across several carriers.

Emirates has listed cancellations on its Dubai routes to these cities, while Etihad Airways has extended changes affecting selected services from Abu Dhabi.

Other airlines have also suspended or reduced flights, although the status differs by carrier and route.

Operations at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam have resumed following a reported attack, but passengers should not assume every service is operating normally.

What UAE Passengers Should Do Before Departure

Travellers should check their flight number through the operating airline’s official website or app before leaving home, as timings and cancellations can change at short notice.

Passengers affected by disruptions should contact their airline or travel agent to confirm rebooking, refund and alternative-route options.

Those travelling on codeshare bookings may need to check with the airline actually operating their flight.

With regional conditions continuing to affect aviation schedules, monitoring official airport announcements and travel advisories can help passengers avoid unnecessary delays.
