Climate: Rough ocean, waves up to 7ft high to hit UAE seaward
Authorities have advised residents to stay clear of the shoreline.
Fog enveloped parts of the UAE on Tuesday morning, reducing the horizontal visibility to lower levels at times, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM said that horizontal visibility could be less than 1,000 metres at times over some coastal and inland areas of the country. The NCM has also advised drivers to take all precautions and follow the traffic regulations.

According to the Met, today's weather will be fair to partly cloudy at times. It will be humid by night and Wednesday morning over the coastal and internal areas.
"Fresh southeasterly winds are expected and might reach 40kmph at times. The wave height is expected to reach up to 7 feet high," NCM said.

Temperatures will range from 31°C to 35°C in the interior regions, 30°C to 33°C along the coast and 19°C to 24°C in the mountains.
The maximum humidity would be 65 to 90 per cent across coastal, 70 to 95 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 65 per cent in the mountains.
The sea will be slight to moderate becoming rough by late night in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Cyclone Maha may cause water surge
Meanwhile, the UAE's east coast has been spared from the brunt of Tropical Cyclone Maha after it changed direction and weakened from category 2 to category 1, the NCM said.
The NCM is closely monitoring the impact of the cyclone, which is expected to bring rough seas offshore.
"Water surge may affect low land during the period of the high tide over the east coast till Wednesday. Maha will bring higher waves, but the rest of the UAE is unlikely to feel any effect," the NCM said.
Although there is no direct impact from Cyclone Maha on the UAE, authorities have advised residents to stay clear of the shoreline and be safe as low-lying areas in the east coast of the UAE - particularly Khor Fakkan, Dibba and Fujairah - are still at risk from a storm surge.
