Sharjah Warriorz have been in good form so far in DP World ILT20 Season 3 after scoring a three wickets victory against the Gulf Giants on Sunday.

In an entertaining match at the Dubai International Stadium, the Warriors were powered by captain Tim Southee’s three wickets and Tom Kohler-Cadmore unbeaten 83.

Kohler-Cadmore who started for Sharjah Warriorz and swung in all three innings for the team and took the match over the line on the final delivery of the game.

"It’s awesome to be at the start of the tournament with a win, and close one as well. Good to be off to a good start. That’s why we’d have been broken if we screwed it up. I had to own up to the last over. "There have been two games that have been close and we’re expecting the same this year," he said.

The England captain is not from outside the UAE – and admits he likes his cricket here, too.

He told me of his time in UAE "I feel Dubai and the UAE is really cool, and fans too are super cool, like the conditions generally are for us. Sharjah Warriorz setup is also amazing, it’s one of the best times of the year when I visit here. "Which is too bad the tournament isn’t a bit longer actually."

The man of the match Kohler-Cadmore knocked six boundaries, four maximums in his innings.
With that said, he bagged a couple key wins as well.

Captain Tim Southee addressing his day’s breakout player: "Tom Kohler-Cadmore batted brilliantly tonight. We have a good batting order and you know what it is to get wickets regularly. ‘It was a relief to be on the right side of this result, though.’
