In response to the devastating flooding in Sharjah caused by record rains, hundreds of dedicated social workers and volunteers have mobilized to provide essential aid to affected residents. Led by Mundir Kalpakanchery and supported by a team of 70 volunteers, these tireless individuals have been delivering food packets containing essential items like biryani, fruits, snacks, and water to those stranded by the floods. Operating round the clock, they navigate flood-affected areas in SUVs, making multiple trips each day to ensure provisions reach residents' doorsteps. However, reaching residents living on higher floors presents a unique challenge, which the volunteers address by providing ropes for residents to lower bags for filling. Despite the ongoing challenges, the volunteers remain committed to their mission, fostering unity and ensuring efficient distribution of resources. Their efforts serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity during this challenging time, providing much-needed relief to those in need.
