UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov eager for Abu Dhabi return

Abu Dhabi is getting ready to host UFC Fight Night at the Etihad Arena, with the MMA community eagerly awaiting an exciting showdown this Saturday. American fighter Cory Sandhagen, recognized for his striking skills and versatile fighting approach, will go up against the unbeatable Umar Nurmagomedov, who holds a flawless 17-0 record, in the headline fight.
Nurmagomedov, who won Performance of the Night against Sergey Morozov in January 2021, is returning to the UAE for a second time and is looking forward to fighting in front of a supportive crowd in Abu Dhabi once more.

It's a substantial duty, but I am genuinely pleased to compete in this place and return. I feel fantastic, actually. "We are here to be victorious," Nurmagomedov commented, stating that he also sees the fight as an important opportunity to secure a title shot. "We will wait and see." I'm not sure, but I am optimistic that the upcoming fight will be for the championship.

Sandhagen is coming back to Abu Dhabi for the third time after winning his first fight in the capital against Marlon Moraes in October 2021 and then losing to Petr Yan in the following year. The Colorado native, who is 32 years old, is prepared to perform a unique performance in front of a crowd in the UAE once more.

He mentioned that competing in Abu Dhabi is consistently an enjoyable and respectful experience. I believe I can demonstrate many skills in my fight that are typically unseen by people. I am recognized as a dynamic forward, and I enjoy displaying that, yet I also have the opportunity to showcase different aspects of my skills. I'm very enthusiastic about that."

In the middleweight division co-main event, fans can anticipate an exciting fight between Shara Magomedov and Michał Oleksiejczuk, who is determined to break his losing streak. He stated that his preparation for the current fight is just like it was for his previous one. I work out daily, and the intensity of my training has been very high. I am prepared for this battle. My strategy is quite straightforward - I aim to defeat my opponent.

Magomedov, who secured victory against Bruno Silva at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi last year, stated: "This is my second fight here." I feel even more amazing than I did the initial time. I had additional time to adapt, recover from the jet lag, and get used to the time difference. I will do everything possible to ensure it is an exhilarating match and showcase my abilities. I am always ready for all three rounds, although the match might conclude unexpectedly. I am prepared for anything.
