UAE weather: Red, yellow alerts issued for fog; humidity to rise at night

Some people in the UAE will see cloudy skies on Tuesday after the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts for higher humidity.
The met also said the weather will stay mostly fair to partly cloudy during some time in the UAE.
Several days after the nation had its coldest day yet – and with frost and ice crystals seen around some places – the humidity will increase Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. All this moisture will likely make it rain, especially in interior and coastal regions.
The weather bureau had issued red and yellow warnings of fog in parts of Abu Dhabi in the early hours of Thursday. See the zones affected in the following map:
Abu Dhabi Police took to X, advising motorists to drive carefully as it is less obvious in the fog. Also encouraged were changing speed limits printed on electronic information boards.
On 7 January, temperatures are forecast to reach 28-29°C in the daytime, up from 24-25°C last week, a weather forecaster said.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly wind (freshening occasionally) will blow throughout the region. Winds will be 10-20kmph with gusts of 35kmph possible.
Sea will be moderate to light sometimes in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Oman Sea.
