UAE weather: Rain hits Dubai, Abu Dhabi, 3 other emirates; temperatures drop to 2.2°C
Most UAE citizens awoke to a drizzle in the morning of Friday and, in some areas, lightning. And the winter chill also reached the high mountains, where the temperature plummeted to a frosty 2.2°C at the country’s highest point.
A few light to moderate rains shower parts of Dubai this morning as well as Adhen in Ras Al Khaimah. There was light rain in Umm Al Quwain, Mohamed bin Zayed city in Abu Dhabi and Suhaila in Sharjah.
Cloudy night and Saturday morning in some inner regions, with an opportunity for mist or fog formation, the NCM added.
Winds light to moderate will flow from northwest to northeast, clearing briefly for blowing dust. We will see wind speeds of 15-30 km/hour reaching 40 km/hour.
The sea will be rough-to-moderate in Arabian Gulf and moderate-slight in Oman Sea, the NCM continued.
