Al Hashimy underscored the significance of respecting diversity, political differences, and development disparities. She called for enhancing the effectiveness of international organizations, especially the United Nations, as a critical line of defense against polarization during political rifts among major countries. Regional bodies like the League of Arab States and the African Union also play vital roles due to their understanding of local contexts.

The minister stressed the paramount importance of peaceful conflict resolution, particularly in regions plagued by weapons and extremist ideologies. She reiterated the UAE's demand for Iran to end its occupation of three Emirati islands and expressed her government's commitment to pursuing a resolution, whether through direct negotiations or the International Court of Justice.

Furthermore, Al Hashimy highlighted the Gulf Cooperation Council's stance on Iraq, urging it to address the negative consequences of a recent court ruling regarding maritime navigation in the Khor Abdullah waterway. This action, she emphasized, must align with international law and agreements signed between Kuwait and Iraq to enhance neighborly relations.

Al Hashimy concluded by stating the UAE's ultimate goal of promoting the "Zero Problems with Neighbors Principle," rejecting the inevitability of conflicts in the region. She expressed hope for restoring security, stability, and prosperity in various nations and reaffirmed her government's support for an independent Palestinian State based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Regarding the climate crisis, Al Hashimy noted Dubai's hosting of COP28 in two months, emphasizing the need for intensified international cooperation to address climate change. She highlighted the transformation of the energy sector as a significant opportunity for sustainable development and stressed the essential role of financing in this process.
