Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt Condemn Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

In a recent incident, hundreds of Jewish settlers, escorted by Israeli forces, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem. This act has drawn strong condemnation from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt, who are calling for the protection of the holy site and the cessation of such actions.

The UAE's Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the actions of the settlers and emphasized the need for greater protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque. They called for respect for Jordan's custodial role over the holy sites, as per international law. The UAE urged Israeli authorities to take responsibility for ending such provocations and tensions.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry also denounced the actions as a blatant violation of international norms and a provocation to Muslims worldwide. They called on Tel Aviv to be held responsible for the repercussions of these actions and urged the international community to protect civilians and seek conflict resolution.

Egypt's Foreign Ministry joined the chorus of condemnation, calling on Israel to immediately halt any actions that provoke Muslims worldwide and incite violence in occupied Palestinian territories.

In a joint effort, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, the Arab League, Egypt, and Jordan announced the Peace Day Efforts initiative, aimed at revitalizing the Palestine-Israel peace process. The initiative aligns with the two-state solution and seeks to address the escalating situation in occupied territories.

This initiative is part of the broader Arab Peace Initiative, a comprehensive proposal aimed at achieving peace and development in the region.
