UAE: 3 football players jailed, fined Dh200,000 each for brawling during match

Three Egyptian Zamalek footballers who were caught in an incident which occurred on October 20 in Abu Dhabi have been jailed for a month each and also fined Dh200,000 each. Each occurred in the incident in the week starting October 20.
They were charged with committing public order offenses by physically attacking the course of a football match and was also reported for rioting during the Egyptian Super Cup semifinal clash that was played against the Pyramids club fans. Zamalek Club is among the two top clubs in the country together with Al Ahly Club.
Earlier Arabic Media had stated that Nabil Emad Dongha, Mustafa Shalaby, and football director Abdel Wahed El Sayed were asked by police to attend for questioning on October 21.
The court’s ruling was that the appeal ‘the facts of the case are proven with the pandemic more witnesses appeal. On this day, the direction of investigation of public prosecution was dealing with the film evidence contributed to the Commission of the victims.
It was also established that the accused did not follow organizational procedure and also attacked Security employees who were on duty at the sporting event.
