Saudi Arabia says two oil tankers damaged by 'sabotage attack' off UAE coast

The Saudi Arabia on Monday said that two of its oil tankers were disrupted off the bank of the UAE in assaults that caused "huge harm" to the vessels. 

"Two Saudi oil tankers were disrupted off the bank of the UAE in assaults that caused "noteworthy harm" to the vessels, while on their approach to cross into the Arabian Gulf," said Khalid Al Falih, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia. 

Al Falih said the two tankers were focused off the shore of Fujairah. One of the two vessels was en route to be stacked with Saudi unrefined petroleum from the port of Ras Tanura, to be conveyed to Saudi Aramco clients in the US. 

"Luckily, the assault didn't prompt any losses or oil slick; in any case, it made noteworthy harm the structures of the two vessels," Al Falih said. 

The Saudi pastor reproved the assault that "plans to undermine the opportunity of sea route, and the security of oil supplies to purchasers everywhere throughout the world," he said. 

The Saudi priest likewise accentuated the joint obligation of the universal network to ensure the wellbeing of sea route and the security of oil tankers, as these occurrences represent a threat to vitality markets and the worldwide economy.
