The sweltering heat in the Philippines is not only affecting farm production and businesses but also hampering education efforts as thousands of schools suspend classes due to the heat, affecting more than 3.6 million students. The intense heat, exacerbated by climate change, makes it challenging for students to learn and poses health risks, particularly for children. In-person and remote learning are both impacted, with students and teachers facing difficulties in studying and teaching effectively in such extreme conditions.
