From July 1, paid parking will be enforced in designated areas such as Fashion, Grand, and Cinema parking zones. Conversely, Zabeel and Fountain View parking areas will remain free of charge.
Exemptions from Parking Fees
Certain categories are exempt from paying parking fees, including People of Determination (after applying for exemption through Salik channels) and vehicles exempted from Salik fees such as police, ambulances, and civil defence.

The parking system utilizes a barrier-free approach for seamless entry and exit. Upon entry, vehicles are identified via plate recognition, linking to the respective Salik account. Fees are deducted automatically upon exit, based on the duration of stay.
Requirements for Parking
To utilize Dubai Mall parking facilities, a valid Salik tag and activated Salik account are mandatory. This ensures smooth transactions and compliance with the new parking regulations.
Grace Period and Notifications
Visitors enjoy a grace period of up to 4 hours on weekdays and 6 hours on weekends before parking fees apply. Currently, there’s no SMS notification service for impending fee charges; hence, it's advised to monitor Salik account balances regularly.
Disputes and Customer Support
In case of fee disputes, visitors can contact Salik customer service via email or phone. Salik also offers customer happiness centers for in-person assistance.
Future Considerations and Expansion
The introduction of paid parking aligns with Dubai Mall's efforts to optimize traffic management and enhance visitor experience. Future updates may include additional features to further streamline parking processes.
Conclusion
As Dubai Mall prepares for the transition to paid parking, understanding these guidelines ensures a smooth experience for all visitors. Whether exploring shopping, dining, or leisure options, adhering to these regulations ensures compliance and a hassle-free parking experience.
