Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, CEO of Emirates Airline, assures financing for the Dh128-billion Al Maktoum Airport won't be an issue, as many local and global firms express interest. The airport, set to fully absorb Dubai airport operations, will have a massive passenger capacity of 260 million per annum. Construction is expected to take 8 to 10 years, with the project aiming to alleviate traffic constraints faced by Dubai International Airport. Despite delays in Boeing 777-X deliveries, Sheikh Ahmed remains hopeful for improvements under Boeing's new management.
