An 18-year-old Georgia pageant queen, Trinity Poague, has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of an 18-month-old boy. The Georgia Southwestern State University Police Department requested an investigation into Poague's involvement in the child's death. She now faces charges of Aggravated Battery, Felony Murder, and Cruelty to Children First Degree.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation revealed in a press release that an unresponsive 18-month-old boy was admitted to the emergency room at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus, Georgia. Despite life-saving efforts by hospital personnel, the child later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and Poague is currently held without bond.

Sumter County Coroner Mathis Wright identified the child as Romeo Angles, according to his birth certificate. However, the child's father referred to him as Jaxton Drew at the hospital. Preliminary findings by Wright suggest that blunt force trauma may be the cause of Drew's death, pending autopsy results.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Jaxton Williams, the father of the deceased child. The fundraiser includes a poignant message expressing the profound loss and grief experienced by Williams. The message acknowledges the unimaginable pain of burying a child and highlights the innocence and life prematurely taken away. It also celebrates Williams as the "sole care taker of his only child" and praises his role as a dedicated and loving father.

The tragic incident involving the Georgia pageant queen and the death of the 18-month-old boy has left the community in shock and sorrow. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the child's death and bring justice to those involved. The heart-wrenching loss is reflected in the emotional message on the GoFundMe page, emphasizing the impact of such a devastating event on the father and the profound void left by the child's absence.
