Emirates Draw reveals future plans as unlicensed operators in UAE told to shut down

Emirates Draw announces global expansion plan after shutting down in the UAE. The change comes on the back of regulatory clarification from the UAE’s Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
"Emirates Draw takes the latest announcements made by the UAE’s Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) seriously and respects them. "After regulatory revisions at the end of 2023, we put an end to activities in the UAE and stepped into international markets with more than 175 countries around the world being represented," an Emirates Draw spokesperson explained.
This draw, hosted under Tycheros, also hosts a ‘Little Draw’ raffle where people triple their chances of winning because each ticket entitles you to three separate draws, where up to $272,257 can be won each day.
GCGRA (as imposed by Federal Law by decree) is the new regulatory regime for lottery operations in the UAE. Within this structure, The Game LLC – The UAE Lottery – is granted a lottery licence in the country to run the lottery activities under its control.
The statute also allows some existing lottery games to go ahead under tight scrutiny. Big Ticket and Dubai Duty Free, airport lotteries that have been running for almost 30 years, are the only ones allowed to operate. No other existing lotteries are to remain open for further period.
As a consequence of these changes in regulation, Emirates Draw is now an international company. "Now we only work online and sell products worldwide.
But now the Emirates Draw website and draw are no longer available to UAE citizens as the site is not accessible within the UAE. Also, no longer available in the UAE as physical tickets," the Emirates Draw spokesperson explained. "Visitors who are not in UAE can stay to participate in our draws and experience our digital content wherever we are," the spokesperson said.
