Eid Al Adha staycations: UAE hotels offer Dh99 deals, free stay for kids

Starting from AED 99, Dubai hotels are providing special staycation packages that perfectly appeal to spontaneous plans for an Eid Al Adha holiday. This follows reports from the UAE’s leading hotels about a significant increase in staycation bookings in anticipation of Eid Al Adha 2025.
According to industry experts, this is a result of the increased access to affordable mid-tier lodging appealing to budget-conscious tourists.
“The surge in hotel staycations is being driven by the rise of affordable, mid-market options across the UAE,” noted Nadia Purkayassta, Regional Head of Revenue Management at Premier Inn Middle East.
“Hotels like Premier Inn Middle East offer great value with comfortable rooms, rooftop pools, family-friendly dining, and attractive deals, making local getaways more accessible. All our hotels are seeing higher occupancy than last year from guests from the GCC, signifying strong regional demand,” she added.
Comfort is also a critical factor for many travelers, as those visiting with their families prefer closer accommodation to the malls, theme parks, and other indoor entertainment areas.
Properties with dependable service and family-friendly services have the greatest value as guests look for relaxing, staycation-like destination alternatives during the break.
“Just like everyone else, the residents await the dates for Eid Al Adha with great anticipation. From my end, I can see that the holiday falls on a Friday and Saturday creating a long weekend. This presents an ideal region in which to plan a staycation this year, even more so since it comes at the start of summer vacations unlike last year’s Eid,” explained Nadia.
Nadia unfortunately seems to be right as hotels are known to change their pricing schemes as Eid approaches and this time has been no different.
“Room rates start at just Dh99, giving travellers the perfect excuse for a spontaneous staycation, last-minute Eid escape, or city adventure,” Nadia commented.
The other way around
Pranav Vohra, IHG Hotels at Dubai Festival City’s cluster commercial director put forward some reasoning of a wider scope that also explains the shift to local holidays. “The increased costs associated with airfare, combined with global inflation, make it difficult to go on international vacations. Therefore, UAE residents are deciding to see what is available within their borders — and for good reason,” he said.
“Competitive offers and a world-class service have ensured that the UAE hospitality industry keeps up with modern trends. Guests feel as though they are getting great value for their money without the airline-induced stress and expenses accompanying long-haul international trips. This transformation has elevated staycations from an afterthought to a lavish getaway,” he noted.
Vohra underscored that the city’s appeal remains unrivaled as a location of choice for most travelers, especially young families and couples who wish to combine shopping and dining with entertainment.
But locations like Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah are quite popular now for guests wanting to escape to a resort setting or for those whose focus is nature. “That said, urban staycations — like those in Dubai Festival City — remain incredibly popular because they are close to a lot of attractions, malls, and events,” he added.
Eid packages with added benefits
A number of resorts are also adding to the list of complimentary perks they offer through loyalty programs specially designed for families, couples, and groups.
Members of GHA DISCOVERY, for instance, stand to gain up to 30 percent on stays and 20 percent discount on selected à la carte dining and room service.
Also, members have access to numerous discounted activities offered at the resort, including spa sessions, archery, and padel tennis.
Other advantages consist of complimentary stays for children under the age of six, early check-in, and late check-out. A few other packages offer discounts of up to 20 percent at major Hatta attractions like Hatta Outdoor and the Honey Bee Farm.
