Dubai to get world tallest wellbeing resort by 2028

The Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 has been launched recently, Sheikh Hamdan wrote on Tuesday, adding that the emirate will soon receive the highest wellbeing resort in the world.
Therme Dubai is slated to open by 2028, at Zabeel Park. The landmark will include an interactive park and the orchard with the world's largest indoor botanical garden, with a capacity of 1.7 million visitors a year, with the city investing Dh2 billion in the development.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said, "This innovative project embodies our ongoing efforts to improve urban biodiversity and the principles of environmental sustainability, in addition to providing exciting experiences that enrich the lives of the people and visitors of Dubai."
Last year, up to 216,500 trees were planted in Dubai hitting an increase of 17 per cent compared to 2023. Dubai Municipality recently revealed this, noting that last year an average 600 trees were planted daily.
Dubai has unveiled the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 in May 2024, to improve community quality of life. The strategy seeks to make the emirate the global leader in livability.
The project transforms Dubai into a walkable, sustainable and family-friendly city, where residents are no more than 20-minutes away from all the services they need. So too do the plans for Dubai away from the centre.
It will also create public facilities such as parks and beaches. More than 200 parks will be created, there will be a 300 per cent increase in cycling tracks along beaches, a 60 per cent increase night swimming beaches and a new only women beach will be created.
