Dubai: 100% Occupancy in Some Hotels Ahead of COP28

Dubai is gearing up for the highly anticipated global climate conference, COP28, with several hotels already fully booked for the event. With over 70,000 delegates, including heads of state and world leaders from nearly 200 countries, as well as thousands of organizations and stakeholders, converging on Expo City 2020 from November 30 to December 12, 2023, it's set to be one of the year's largest and most significant international gatherings.

Many hoteliers have reported that bookings for COP28 have begun pouring in, prompting expectations of soaring room rates. Additionally, the event coincides with the peak tourist season in Dubai, drawing foreign visitors seeking pleasant weather.
Paul Bridger, the Chief Operating Officer of Rove Hotels, shared, "We are witnessing a substantial increase in reservation inquiries for the COP28 period, particularly in Rove Hotels closer to the event. The surge in demand is primarily driven by delegations from participating countries."
