A court in Pakistan has granted the request of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, to be shifted from house arrest to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. Bibi, detained at Khan's mansion since their conviction in January for illegally selling state gifts, challenged the house arrest citing security concerns. Her lawyers filed an appeal in the Islamabad High Court, leading to the court's decision to relocate her to the same jail where Khan is serving his 14-year sentence. The court's order came after Bibi complained of being served contaminated food by the authorities at the house, which had been designated as a sub-jail.
