With the rise of artificial intelligence, about 40% of global back-office jobs could be at risk, says a top official at the Annual Investment Meeting in Abu Dhabi. Sameer Abdullah Naas, president of the Union of Arab Chambers, emphasized the importance of reskilling the workforce to address potential job losses due to automation. He highlighted the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to navigate the challenges posed by accelerated digital transformation. Naas also stressed the role of educational institutions in preparing youth for the AI-driven job market. The three-day event aims to explore innovative strategies and opportunities for economic growth and prosperity, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and experts from around the world.
