Abu Dhabi closes poultry farm for posing 'significant risk to public health'

Abu Dhabi authorities shut down a poultry farm on Wednesday because it posed a significant public health risk. The Al Ajban area-based Al Fairooz Poultry Farm received administrative closure orders from authorities.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a social media statement that the farm with trade license number CN-1679479 violated Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in Abu Dhabi. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi's Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food regulations and its related laws were violated by Al Fairooz Poultry Farm.
Earlier this month authorities issued a closure order to an eatery because it posed a threat to public health.
Spicy Restaurant Tamil Nadu at Hamdan St breached food safety rules. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a decision that ordered its administrative shutdown.
