95% discount, holidays in Dubai: Dates of 14 major events in 2025 revealed
New Year resolutions are not the only thing new year promises. Exciting deals, parties and happenings that continue in Dubai to welcome its inhabitants into the new year as well. Dubai Tourism Authority has released its 2025 Events and Event Dates with the Retail Calendar 2025.
There’s an amazing shopping, entertainment and cultural offerings for every shopping, entertainment and cultural preference of Dubai residents and visitors coming this year’s festival and events programme.
From January to December here are 14 things that will happen in the next year for both locals and visitors.
Dubai Shopping Festival
Dubai shoppers are sure to start the New Year with Dubai Shopping Festival since the event will last till 12 January 2025.
The festival launched on 6th December 2024 offers residents and visitors to participate in a mega prize raffle and enjoy great deals. Amidst it all, they also offer visitors the various attractions and performances, concerts, and more.
The last weekend of the festival in over 3,000 retailers in the country will have 25 per cent to 90 per cent sales.
Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) 2019 starts January 24, 2025, February 2, 2019.
Across the city will be festivities for the beginning of the Chinese New Year with live shows, offers, fireworks, cultural entertainment and special food packages.
Dubai Fashion Season
Dubai Fashion Season — For fashion lovers in the UAE and globally, 2025 Dubai Fashion Season will visit the fashion capital.
The Spring/Summer 2019 collection will debut in Q1-Q2 of next year. Fall/Winter Collection Launch Q3 & Q4 2025(Fall/Winter Collection Launch).
Consumers will be able to purchase the newest styles in multiple stores in the emirates.
Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr
Each year when the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr starts, Dubai is buzzing with events celebrating the religious rituals of the time. This will be from February 28th, 2025 to April 6th.
It is during this period that the city becomes a destination with community activities, art works and light installations, night markets and also a variety of dining experiences including Ramadan themed menus in Ramadan tents and retail offerings.
Once the month is over everyone celebrates Eid Al Fitr where locals and visitors can avail of great offers, cheap hotel packages and nightlife entertainments.
E-sale discounts
The three-day e-sale will offer customers the opportunity to grab deals starting at 30 per cent upto 95 per cent. They will be on everything from clothing, luxury makeup, electronic items and so on.
Dubai Games and Digital Sports Festival
With Dubai as the gaming and esports capital of the world, activities across the emirate are hosted in Dubai for 17 days. These start from 25th April, and will end on 11th May, 2025.
Apart from the shows, there will be specialized education programs – the ‘Game Expo’, that will be held on May 7 and 8 in 2025. On 7 and 8 May the "Game Expo Summit" and "Game Expo" Expo from 9 to 11 May at Zabeel Halls 2 & 3 Dubai World Trade Centre.
3-day Super Sale
One of the biggest shopping activities is that the 3 days super sale will be coming back again in 2025. These discounts will be available between 25 per cent and 90 per cent and can be availed on clothing, shoes, jewellery, electronics, furniture, home-appliances, grocery.
The first super sale will be held in May and the second super sale in November 2025.
Eid Al Adha
Next year, Dubai is celebrating Eid Al Fitr (2-8 June). Malls will give coupons and restaurants will serve all sorts of tasty food. There will also be live entertainment like fireworks, concerts and other shows.
Dubai Summer Surprises
As the temperatures rise during June, July and August, Dubai offers visitors and residents alike the chance to be indoors and get the most out of the warm weather. This also comprises of Dubai Summer Surprises from 27th June – 31st August 2025.
The time will see retail deals, show, restaurants and so much more.
Its closing sale will see up to 90 per cent discount on lifestyle, cosmetics, electronics and fashion products.
Back to School season
Just as the summer breaks come to an end, students are all giddy with the start of the academic year in September. It is a great time to get new school supplies and things for them.
Sale will be held at retailers in Dubai on 4th-28th August, 2025.
Home Festival
As it gets to autumn and colder, the people can consider upgrading their home décor. The city is the venue of Dubai Home Festival where you will get discounts and deals on furniture. This runs from 3-16th of October 2025. You will also receive special deals on the home appliances for this period.
Diwali celebrations
The festival of lights Diwali comes with all the major campaigns, events and activities Dubai. These are coming up in the city on October 17–26, 2025.
The discounts will be offered on gold, jewellery, wedding, accessories and home décor.
Dubai Fitness Challenge
As a way of ensuring people get fit and stay healthy, the city is organising the Dubai Fitness Challenge from November 1 to 30, 2025. The competition is a challenge for friends, family, guests, co-workers and members of the community to exercise 30 minutes per day for 30 days.
It will consist of some of the world renowned competitions such as Dubai Run Challenge, Dubai Cycling Challenge and Dubai Rowing Challenge.
UAE Union Day celebrations
The final month of the year is December, and there will be Union Day celebrations in the UAE from December 1-3, 2025. It will be three days of special shopping promotions, fireworks, and other celebrations and activities all over Dubai.
