The United Arab Emirates authorities have rolled out a travel advisory and have warned the nationals against visiting three countries. They have also shared the advisory with more than 10 countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has stepped in even as schools are nearing their annual summer holidays and have asked travellers to refrain from visiting certain countries owing to hostile political, security and health concerns.

The countries which have been blacklisted include Qatar, Karabakh, and Lebanon.

While Qatar and Karabakh are currently in the midst of a political logjam, Lebanon has serious security concerns which the kingdom has identified.

Apart from the above countries, the ministry has also put out a advisory which cautions travellers from visiting 13 countries and be wary if they do hop across to possibly unstable destinations like Brazil, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Yemen. It has to be mentioned here that the Emirate has already issued a warning to its nationals who are currently in Greece and have been asked to be wary with their belongings if they are planning a visit to Santorini which is an island in the southern Aegean Sea.

The UAE have also asked the Emiratis to be cautious against pickpockets, and to always be vigilant about their own personal belongings, more so after sunset owing to the huge influx of tourists.

“Please avoid carrying considerable amounts of money and carry credit cards instead, and remember to always keep your passport in a safe place,” said Rashid Ali Al Dhaheri, Director of the Nationals Administration at the ministry.

However, if there is any emergency, the Emiratis can call the ministry on 00971 600599991 or the call centre on the toll-free number 800 444 44.
