UAE weather: Temperatures to hit 48ºC, fair day ahead
As the scorching summer sun beats down on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), residents brace themselves for another day of sweltering heat. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures are set to soar to a blistering 48ºC on Monday, May 27, 2024.
Despite the stifling heat, the day ahead is expected to be generally fair across the region. However, residents should prepare for high humidity levels, particularly in the morning, with a possibility of mist forming in some coastal and internal areas.
In Al Ain, humidity levels are forecasted to reach a staggering 80 percent, while in Gasyoura, they will peak at 60 percent. This high humidity combined with soaring temperatures will undoubtedly make outdoor activities uncomfortable for many.
In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures will hover around 41ºC and 42ºC, respectively, providing little relief from the heat. The weather department has also cautioned about light to moderate winds sweeping across the country, occasionally picking up dust and reducing visibility.
Mariners are advised to exercise caution as the sea conditions fluctuate. In the Arabian Gulf, the waters will be slight to moderate, with the potential to become rough at times, especially towards the western region by afternoon. Meanwhile, the Oman Sea is expected to remain relatively calm.
As the summer heat continues to intensify, residents are urged to take necessary precautions to stay safe and cool. This includes staying hydrated, seeking shade whenever possible, and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours.
Additionally, motorists should exercise caution while driving, particularly in areas prone to reduced visibility due to dust. Ensuring vehicles are properly maintained and equipped with essentials such as water and emergency supplies is essential for any journey.
While the UAE's weather may present challenges during the summer months, residents are resilient and accustomed to adapting to the harsh conditions. By staying informed and taking proactive measures, individuals can navigate through the heatwave with minimal disruptions.
As the sun rises over the UAE, residents prepare to face another scorching day under its relentless rays. With temperatures soaring and humidity levels on the rise, staying cool and safe becomes paramount. Whether seeking refuge indoors or braving the outdoors, residents are reminded to take precautions to beat the heat and stay hydrated.
