UAE temperatures cross 50°C: 6,000 workers to learn how to save colleagues in case of heat stroke
As temperatures soar above 50°C in the UAE, a comprehensive training initiative is set to empower 6,000 workers as first responders against heat-related emergencies like heat stroke. Led by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap), this campaign includes health screenings, educational sessions on recognizing heat-related illnesses, and practical first aid training. Collaborating with various government bodies, the initiative targets key regions like Sharjah's central and northwestern areas to raise awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle among workers. Scheduled to commence on July 1, the program aims to enhance workers' ability to provide immediate assistance and facilitate timely medical intervention in emergencies.
