UAE ranks 5th in the world in road quality, 10th in public transport

The UAE has secured impressive rankings in global infrastructure quality, with fifth place in road quality and tenth in public transport efficiency, according to the Travel and Tourism Development Index 2024 report by the World Economic Forum. Among Arab nations, the UAE leads in road quality and ranks second in public transport efficiency. Additionally, the country stands out globally for port service efficiency, ranking ninth worldwide and first in the Arab world. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, attributes these achievements to the visionary leadership and strategic plans of the UAE, fostering growth and positioning the nation as a hub of innovation and excellence. Hanan Mansour Ahli, Director of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, emphasizes that these rankings highlight the UAE's commitment to high standards and best practices, attracting foreign investment and bolstering the GDP.
