South Yorkshire Police Crack Down on Anti-Social Riding with 5,000+ Hours of Patrols
In an effort to address rising concerns over anti-social behavior related to off-road biking, South Yorkshire Police have significantly increased high-visibility patrols, focusing on hotspots across the county. The initiative, initiated since July 2023, has seen local officers, street wardens, and a specialized off-road bike team collectively investing more than 5,000 hours in patrolling identified areas in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield.
Patrol Statistics: Between July and November 2023, the breakdown of patrol hours includes 1332 in Barnsley, 1362 in Doncaster, 1152 in Rotherham, and 1211 in Sheffield.
