Enhancing Connectivity Between UAE-Oman

Starting from February 27th, a new bus service connecting the UAE and Oman is set to commence, announced by the public transport company Mwasalat. The service, facilitated by Oman's National Transport Company Mwasalat in collaboration with Sharjah's Roads and Transport Authority, aims to enhance connectivity between Sharjah and Muscat with daily trips.

Operating four trips in total, two from Sharjah and two from Muscat, this service will traverse via Shinas, providing passengers with a convenient travel option between the two cities. Passengers are allowed to carry 23kg as check-in baggage and 7kg as hand baggage, ensuring a comfortable journey. Fares for the service start from 10 Oman Rials (approximately Dh95.40) to 29 Oman Rials (approximately Dh276.66).

From Sharjah, the first bus will depart at 6:30 am from Al Jubail Bus Station, arriving at Azaiba Bus Station in Muscat by 2:30 pm. The second bus will depart from Sharjah at 4:00 pm, reaching Muscat by 11:50 pm. On the return journey, the first bus from Muscat will depart at 6:30 am, arriving in Sharjah by 3:40 pm. The second bus will depart from Muscat at 4:00 pm, completing the journey to Sharjah.

The introduction of this bus service marks a significant step in facilitating travel between the UAE and Oman, providing commuters with a reliable and affordable transportation option. With the convenience of daily trips and competitive fares, the service is expected to cater to the needs of both residents and tourists traveling between Sharjah and Muscat.
