The Dubai Distinguished Students Programme offers over 400 scholarships to exceptional Emirati students in private schools, covering 50% of annual tuition fees. It's a collaborative effort between the government and private education sector to provide high-quality educational opportunities.

Eligibility criteria include being a UAE national with a family book issued by Dubai, enrolled in grades 4 to 10, achieving minimum grades specified by the curriculum, and not currently benefiting from other government scholarships. Applicants must also pass admission interviews and provide accurate documentation.

Applications for the 2024-25 academic year are open from May 20 to June 5, accessible through the KHDA website. Participating schools include Collegiate International School, Dubai International Academy, Raffles International Academy, and others.

Required documents include family book, valid UAE passport and Emirates ID, detailed salary certificate of legal financial guardian, student's report cards for the last three years, and any additional documents requested.

Students' continuity in the programme depends on their evaluation at the end of each academic year. They must meet or exceed expectations to continue, as determined by KHDA's evaluation based on school reports.

The programme aims to recognize and support outstanding Emirati students, fostering their academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to education. It's an opportunity for eligible students to pursue quality education and contribute to Dubai's knowledge-based economy.
