Saudi Arabia announces private sector holidays
Saudi Arabia has declared a four-day holiday for private and non-profit sector employees for Eid Al Adha, starting from June 15. This announcement follows the sighting of the crescent Moon, signaling the beginning of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah on June 7. The first day of Eid Al Adha is expected to fall on Sunday, June 16. This decision aligns with the tradition of celebrating Eid Al Adha on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah. It's noteworthy that this announcement comes after the official confirmation of the crescent Moon sighting, marking the transition from Dhul Qa’adah to Dhul Hijjah on the Islamic calendar.
