RTA announces truck ban changes on Dubai-Sharjah road

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced changes to the truck ban timings on a section of the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road. According to the new regulations, heavy vehicles will not be permitted on the MBZ road stretch between Ras Al Khor St and Sharjah during specific periods: from 6:30 am to 8:30 am, from 1 pm to 3 pm, and from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. This ban applies to both directions of the road. Truck drivers are advised to either utilize alternative routes, such as Emirates Road, or wait in designated truck rest stops during the specified ban periods.
