Dr. Ahmed Habib, a climate expert from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), sheds light on the atmospheric dynamics driving this weather pattern. He explains that the region is experiencing the influence of low-pressure systems, with extensions traversing from west to east. These atmospheric conditions, coupled with the possibility of intensifying depressions, heighten the likelihood of widespread rainfall.

Tuesday is forecasted to witness a continuation of thunderstorm activity, with temperatures slightly cooler at around 28°C. Strong southeast winds are anticipated, with speeds ranging from 24 to 40 km/h. The probability of rain remains high at 80%, with residents urged to exercise caution due to the potential for flash floods, particularly in low-lying areas.

As night falls, the thunderstorms persist, albeit with a slight decrease in the chance of rainfall to 70%. Temperatures are expected to drop to approximately 23°C, accompanied by shifting winds from southeast to west-southwest.

Amidst these weather conditions, residents and motorists are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. The risk of localized heavy rainfall leading to flash floods necessitates a proactive approach to safety. Drivers are cautioned to avoid flooded wadis and submerged areas, adhering strictly to traffic regulations to mitigate potential hazards.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, the forecast offers a glimmer of hope as clearer skies are anticipated, interspersed with occasional cloud cover. Temperatures are expected to hover around 27°C, marking a transition towards more stable weather patterns.
