Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced a significant housing benefits package worth Dh2.18 billion, aiming to support 1,502 citizens across the emirate. This generous initiative, approved by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, reflects the leadership's unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare of Emirati citizens and addressing their housing needs.

The housing benefits package encompasses various forms of support, including housing loans, ready-built houses, and residential land grants, with a total value exceeding Dh2.082 billion. This comprehensive assistance is poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of 1,407 citizens, ensuring access to adequate housing and promoting stability and social cohesion within the emirate.

Furthermore, the initiative extends special considerations to vulnerable segments of the population, including senior citizens, retirees with low incomes, and the families of deceased citizens. These individuals have been exempted from housing loan payments, amounting to over Dh98 million, benefiting 95 citizens directly. Such targeted support underscores the government's commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that all citizens have access to essential services and resources.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, expressed gratitude to the leadership for their directives to disburse the housing benefits package. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the vision of the leadership to enhance the quality of life for Emirati citizens and promote comprehensive development across the emirate. By addressing housing demands and improving welfare, the government aims to foster prosperity and well-being for all residents.

Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, highlighted the priority placed on citizen welfare by the leadership. He underscored the authority's commitment to continually enhancing its programs and services to ensure housing for all citizens in Abu Dhabi. By advancing the housing sector and aligning with the directives of the leadership, the authority aims to contribute to the overall development and prosperity of the emirate.

The distribution of the housing benefits package coincides with the upcoming Eid Al Fitr, demonstrating the leadership's dedication to ensuring the well-being of Emirati families. This timely initiative seeks to provide housing that meets the needs of citizens, enhances their welfare, and supports stability and overall quality of life. With this latest disbursement, the total value of housing benefits disbursed since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority exceeds Dh149 billion.
