The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has announced the opening of nominations for the Emirates Labour Market Award's second edition. This prestigious award aims to recognize and honor organizations that excel in promoting workers' rights and welfare.

This year, the award features two new categories: Labour Accommodations and Domestic Workers. The Labour Accommodations category will acknowledge companies that demonstrate outstanding investments in workers' accommodations, additional services, sustainability practices, and initiatives for labor welfare. Similarly, the Domestic Workers category will highlight excellence in promoting the welfare and rights of domestic workers.

With a total value of Dh37 million, the Emirates Labour Market Award offers an attractive prize pool, including cash rewards, discounts on Mohre services, and various benefits and gifts. In the workforce category, winners stand a chance to receive cash prizes of Dh100,000 for the first place, Dh75,000 for the second place, and Dh50,000 for the third place.

The introduction of these new categories reflects the UAE's commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive labor environment. By recognizing and rewarding organizations that prioritize workers' rights and well-being, the Emirates Labour Market Award aims to inspire others to follow suit and contribute to the continuous improvement of labor standards in the country.

Nominations for the award are now open, providing an opportunity for deserving organizations to showcase their initiatives and contributions towards creating a more sustainable and equitable labor market in the UAE. With the addition of the Labour Accommodations and Domestic Workers categories, the award recognizes the diverse aspects of labor welfare and encourages comprehensive efforts towards enhancing the overall quality of life for workers.

As the Emirates Labour Market Award enters its second edition, it reinforces the importance of prioritizing workers' rights and welfare in the national agenda. Through this initiative, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to upholding the highest standards of labor practices and ensuring the well-being of all workers, thereby fostering a conducive environment for sustainable economic growth and social development.
