More than 230,000 Pakistanis moved to Emirates in 1 year
In recent news, a sea turtle rehabilitated in Dubai has completed an impressive journey to Thailand, covering over 3,000 kilometers across the Indian Ocean. The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, known for rescuing and releasing injured turtles equipped with satellite trackers, celebrated this milestone as part of its conservation efforts. Barbara Lang-Lenton, Director of the Aquarium at Burj Al Arab, highlighted the project's success in releasing 2,175 sea turtles, with 92 tracked using satellite technology. This initiative not only aids in rehabilitation but also contributes valuable data on turtle migration patterns, spanning from nesting grounds in India and Pakistan to destinations across the Gulf region. The project's longevity and impact have been bolstered by community support and educational programs, marking significant strides in marine conservation in the UAE.
