 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to the UAE, commencing today, with an eagerness to connect with the Indian expat community during the Ahlan Modi event in Abu Dhabi. Ahead of his departure, PM Modi expressed his pride in the Indian diaspora and their role in enhancing India's global engagement, inviting everyone to join him at the #AhlanModi programme.

During his visit, PM Modi will engage in crucial discussions with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on strategies to further bolster the already robust strategic partnership between India and the UAE.

The much-anticipated ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, scheduled for this evening at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, is expected to draw thousands of expats. The event has garnered overwhelming interest from the Indian community, prompting organizers to close registrations well in advance.

Jitendra Vaidya, representing the Ahlan Modi event, expressed readiness to welcome PM Modi, highlighting the extensive preparations undertaken, including a mock drill involving over 2,000 volunteers. A plethora of cultural activities awaits attendees, with performances by hundreds of artists, group songs, dance routines, and more. Rehearsals for the event have been meticulously conducted across Dubai and other locations to ensure a seamless experience.

PM Modi is slated to address the gathering upon his arrival at 6 pm, offering his insights and vision to the enthusiastic audience. To facilitate participation from across the seven emirates, complimentary transportation services have been arranged for attendees.

Following the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, PM Modi will proceed to Dubai to attend the World Government Summit 2024. India holds the esteemed position of 'guest of honour' at the summit, alongside Turkey and Qatar. During his participation, PM Modi will deliver a keynote address and engage in discussions with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The culmination of PM Modi's visit will be marked by the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the first traditional Hindu sandstone temple in the Middle East. This historic occasion underscores the deep-rooted cultural ties between India and the UAE, symbolizing the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

In essence, PM Modi's visit to the UAE signifies a strengthening of bilateral relations, a celebration of cultural diversity, and a reaffirmation of India's commitment to global cooperation and collaboration.
