Ladies Lead at HH Sheikh Mohammed Endurance
The 17th edition of the HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Festival is set to kick off at the Dubai International Endurance City in Seih Al Salaam, with the spotlight on female riders. The festival commences with the prestigious HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup for female riders, marking the beginning of a four-day extravaganza showcasing the talents of some of the world's finest endurance riders.
Sponsored by Azizi Developments, the HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup serves as the inaugural event of the festival, which culminates in the highly anticipated 160km HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup on February 24. Organized by the Dubai Equestrian Club in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAEERF), this four-day competition promises thrilling contests and top-tier performances.
The Ladies Ride, a 110km race, has historically been a highlight of the festival, attracting elite female riders from across the globe. This year is no exception, as riders gear up to navigate the challenging four-loop circuit in pursuit of victory. The event provides a solid platform for women to showcase their skills and compete alongside the world's best endurance horses.

The Ladies Ride has witnessed thrilling competitions over the years, with last year's edition culminating in a closely contested finish. Masa Adnan Tonbakji of Syria emerged victorious aboard El Nize Gamilah, setting a blistering pace and crossing the finish line in 3:27:51. Hot on her heels was Milena Mendez of Argentina, finishing just a second behind Tonbakji aboard M7’s Jamal Beauty. Buthaina Khalid Al Redha of the UAE secured the third spot aboard Midland Cooper, rounding off an intense and competitive race.
