India Early conclusion of migration and mobility pacts discussed by the UAEPTI
As of May 15th, (PTI)New Delhi Early conclusion of agreements pertaining to mobility and migration, as well as ways to encourage greater people-to-people exchanges between the two nations, has been discussed by India and the UAE.
These matters were discussed at Tuesday's Fifth Joint Committee on Consular Affairs (JCCA) meeting in New Delhi.

A number of consular matters, including those pertaining to labor, visas, migration, citizenship, and extradition, were discussed during the extensive talks, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
"The UAE side gave a detailed briefing on various steps taken by the government to ensure the welfare of the Indian workers in the UAE," according to the report.
Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to working towards consular mechanisms that prioritize citizens, according to the MEA.
"The two sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest including visa facilitation for promoting greater people-to-people exchanges and early conclusion of agreements related to migration and mobility," according to the report.
"Outcomes from the meeting also included regular exchange of statistics related to the citizens of each others' countries and best practices on consular matters," according to a statement from the MEA.
Recently, there has been a noticeable improvement in the ties between.
"The relationship between the two countries, which was elevated to a comprehensive strategic Partnership in 2017, encompasses all areas of mutual cooperation -- political, economic, trade, commerce, defence, cultural, technology and energy, with people-to-people ties forming the bedrock," according to the MEA.
More than 3.5 million Indian citizens are currently residing in the UAE.
