However, under Trevor Noah's hosting since 2021, the Grammys have experienced consistent growth, with live viewership reaching 8.8 million in 2021 and 8.9 million in 2022. This year's numbers approach pre-pandemic levels, as the 2020 Grammys garnered 18.7 million viewers.
The Grammy Awards' resurgence stands in contrast to the declining viewership of other award shows, such as the recent record-low audience of 4.3 million for the Emmy Awards on Fox. Miley Cyrus captivated audiences with a powerful rendition of her chart-topping hit "Flowers," which earned her the coveted Record of the Year award.
