Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 jolts India's Manipur
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale shook Manipur on Wednesday evening, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The tremor originated from the Bishnupur area in Bankura district, occurring at a depth of 25 kilometers. The seismic event occurred precisely at 7:09 pm local time, according to the NCS.
This earthquake follows a recent seismic activity earlier this month, when a magnitude 3.4 tremor struck Manipur's Kamjong area at a depth of 40 kilometers. The NCS continues to monitor seismic activity in the region, providing updates on earthquake occurrences and their parameters.
