Dubai's traditional 'Ramadan Souq' kicks off on February 17, bringing a blend of heritage and modernity to Old Municipality Street in Deira. Running until March 9 from 10am to 10pm daily, the souq, organized by Dubai Municipality, celebrates the advent of Ramadan.

The souq offers a wide array of items essential for Ramadan preparations, including personal and household essentials, gadgets, and special products for celebrating 'Hag Al Laila'. Visitors can expect live entertainment shows, events, and children's activities.

Dubai Municipality highlights the souq's role in promoting tourism and commercial activities while preserving traditional markets. It aims to safeguard the heritage and authenticity of customs associated with Ramadan preparations.

Deira's historical markets, dating back to the 19th century, hold significant importance as traditional commercial hubs. They have undergone restoration, rehabilitation, and classification based on their types.

Notable markets in the area include the renowned Grand Souq, also known as Al Dhalam Souq, offering a diverse range of products. The Plates Market provides kitchen essentials, while the men's fabrics market and Souq Al Manazer offer various goods.

The Al-Matarih Market specializes in armchairs and pillows (tikki), while other markets cater to specific needs such as food, marine tools, fabrics, perfumes, and gold.

With its blend of heritage and modernity, Dubai's 'Ramadan Souq' continues to attract visitors, providing a unique shopping experience while honoring age-old traditions associated with Ramadan preparations.
