After an interruption between the Centerpoint and GGICO stations, the Dubai Metro is now operating normally.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai announced on Sunday morning that services between the Centerpoint and GGICO stations on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro have resumed after a brief interruption caused by a technical problem.

According to the RTA, the Red Line is operating normally in both directions again. But don't expect a train to halt at the Energy, Equiti, Mashreq, or ONPASSIVE stops.

Commuters impacted by the disruption were served by alternative bus services. Stations impacted have been provided with alternative bus service in addition to a train shuttle on platform 1, according to a post on X by the RTA.

Please stay tuned for more updates from the RTA regarding the technical issue and the return of normal metro services on the affected stretch. Passengers are urged to stay updated.

Following the emirate's heavy rainfall in mid-April, four metro stations in Dubai remained closed for the past month. Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy were all closed as a consequence of the record-breaking rainfall and subsequent flooding that occurred throughout the United Arab Emirates.

On the other hand, RTA has stated that, following the completion of all necessary repairs and safety tests, these stations will resume normal operations by May 28.

At the same time, 150 buses will keep running between Business Bay and the following stops on the Dubai Metro system: OnPassive, Mall of the Emirates, Mashreq, Equity, Dubai Internet City, and Al Khail.
