Dubai billionaire calls for fund to support mothers, says willing to contribute up to Dh100 million
A billionaire from Dubai has announced that he is prepared to donate up to Dh100 million to a fund that will help mothers.
The importance of mothers in raising the next generation in the United Arab Emirates is lauded by Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor.
Given the crucial role mothers play in raising the next generation, a Dubai billionaire has proposed creating a fund to assist them.
Al Habtoor Group's founding chairman, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, announced on Thursday that he would donate up to Dh100 million to the cause.
The government of the United Arab Emirates has established a number of programmes to assist mothers because they are the most vital members of any family. We hold this land in high regard. Helping mothers in the UAE is our responsibility. To that end, I propose we establish a special fund and solicit financial backing from the well-to-do. During the 'Open Talk with Khalaf Al Habtoor' at his company's head office, Al Habtoor stated, "I can contribute Dh25 million to Dh100 million."
Mothers, he said, should put their care of young children first. He elaborated by saying that parents play an essential role in their children's upbringing and must shield them from the perils of modern life.
Some people know Al Habtoor as a famous benefactor. "Psychological and physical treatment to children who were sexually abused" was his offer, made this month through a Lebanon-based social media app. He expressed his willingness to offer these kids all the help they need.
Al Habtoor pledged Dh17 million to help Emiratis fix their damaged homes during the record-breaking rains that struck the UAE on April 16. Additionally, he offered families impacted by the rain a place to stay in a hotel.
Once upon a time, when the Taliban-led government forbade Afghan women from attending university, he helped 100 of them while they were studying in Dubai.
"Great women are responsible for raising great men," said Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Haddad, grand mufti of Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, during his Open Talk.
There will be negative consequences if we leave our children in the care of babysitters. Mothers should give their undivided attention to their children, according to Al Haddad.
The head of the Hemaya International Centre in the General Department of Anti-Narcotics at the Dubai Police, Colonel Abdulrahman Sharaf Almamari, urged parents to listen to their children when they speak.
Some UAE residents use the Internet for over seven hours every day, according to Col. Almamari, which is an unhealthy and excessive amount of time. "They would be better served by getting down to the business of raising their children. "The children could be misled and left vulnerable if we aren't careful," he cautioned.
It was the youthful generation that will "lead the society to a safe future," according to political science professor Dr. Abdulkhaleq Abdulla.
On any level, they are capable workers who can complete assignments with ease when given the proper direction. We have faith in our youth, and the United Arab Emirates is well-guarded... He expressed the hope that our society would excel in every aspect.
