In the early hours of May 21, Dr. Amal Muhammed Aburawi received a critical call: a mother and her newborn needed emergency surgery. Despite being more than an hour away from the hospital, Dr. Amal raced against time, navigating through traffic with the urgency of saving lives. With determination and quick thinking, she managed to arrive at the hospital in just 17 minutes, where she promptly began the surgery to save both the mother and her child. Thanks to her swift actions and dedication, both patients emerged from the surgery successfully. Dr. Amal's remarkable efforts did not go unnoticed - the Dubai Police, upon learning of her speeding related to the emergency, waived off the fines incurred during her journey. This incident highlights the crucial role of frontline doctors like Dr. Amal in emergency situations and the support provided by initiatives like 'Bin Wraiqa', ensuring that medical professionals can reach hospitals promptly to save lives.
