Digital Startup Blinx Launches in Dubai to Produce ‘Genuine’ Arabic News and Storytelling for Youths
Renowned Arab journalist Nakhle Elhage, known for leading Al Arabiya news network for 16 years, is launching Blinx, a digital startup aimed at producing authentic Arabic news and storytelling content for Gen Z and millennials across the Middle East and beyond.
Based in Dubai Media City, Blinx is positioned as the first digital native storytelling hub in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with plans to launch on multiple platforms soon.
Backed by undisclosed investors from the UAE, Blinx promises a "more story, less noise" approach, focusing on content created by young people to resonate with a youthful audience in the MENA region.
Elhage, serving as the general manager of Blinx, expressed the startup's mission to inspire youth through genuine storytelling, aiming to provide news, entertainment, and infotainment that connects young audiences to the world and like-minded communities.
Emphasizing authenticity, Elhage assured that Blinx would steer clear of fake news, misinformation, and disinformation, striving to deliver honest and sincere content.
Equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities, including what is touted as the MENA region's first metaverse studios, Blinx aims to leverage the latest live production tools and AI-enhanced analytical software.
In addition to social media platforms and its online portal, Blinx plans to unveil digital apps to offer a live production experience across various smart devices, creating an on-demand social ecosystem where MENA youth can access culturally relevant content effortlessly.
With a focus on creating a positive impact and fostering connections, Blinx aspires to become the go-to destination for authentic storytelling in the MENA region and beyond.
