As the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicted, parts of the UAE experienced rainfall on Sunday evening, accompanied by cloudy skies. This weather phenomenon is attributed to a weak surface pressure system combined with the extension of an upper-level low-pressure system, resulting in cloudiness and precipitation across the region.

Videos circulating on social media platforms depicted the extent of the rainfall, with clouds shrouding mountainous roads in Ras Al Khaimah and cars navigating through the precipitation in Fujairah. The visuals serve as a reminder of the unpredictability of weather patterns and the importance of exercising caution during such conditions.

In response to the inclement weather, various police departments across the emirates issued warnings to residents, emphasizing the need to adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents. Ras Al Khaimah police urged residents to avoid areas with trees that may fall due to the unstable weather, refrain from sitting near edges of valleys, closely supervise children, and allow space for equipment deployed to drain water from roads.

Additionally, residents were advised to prioritize safety by remaining indoors, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles while driving, reporting instances of rainwater accumulation to authorities, and exercising caution around pools of water and electrical sources. These precautions are essential to mitigate the risks associated with adverse weather conditions and ensure the well-being of individuals and communities.

In Abu Dhabi, the police department issued a specific warning for motorists, urging them to exercise vigilance on the roads and pay attention to changing speed limits displayed on electronic signboards. This proactive measure aims to enhance road safety and reduce the likelihood of accidents during inclement weather.

Overall, the authorities' efforts to raise awareness about safety measures during unstable weather conditions highlight the importance of preparedness and vigilance in safeguarding lives and property. By heeding these warnings and adhering to recommended guidelines, residents can minimize risks and navigate through challenging weather situations with greater resilience and safety.
